The Day Has Arrived!

Hello Everyone!  Well, come 5:00 this afternoon, our team will be in route to Zambia!  (Actually, we are going to be stopping in London for 36 hours on the way...darn it!  :)  I just wanted to thank you all for your encouraging words over the past couple of weeks!  You have no idea how much I have loved and appreciated them!  I am super excited to share my experiences with you upon my return!

Aside from orphan care, pastor training and delivering blankets to those living in the "bush", our team will be very intentional in finding out how we can best serve the people of Serenje on the long term.  For example, there is a church that has a full grass roof, dirt floor, and the attendees sit on logs to worship!  Praise the Lord they DO worship, but think about what happens when it rains!  One of things that the NEXT team will be doing in July is putting a metal roof over their church!  We are so blessed here in the U.S. and it brings me such joy to be a part of God's work in a 3rd world country!  I look forward to seeing what He has in store for us in these next couple of weeks!
